Rubber Buggy Baby Bumpers say that 3 times fast! Haha don't know where that came from but HAPPY SATURDAY! Today I plan to clean up the yard and then make some fantabulous cards =)

Not that I know anyone having a little one but it never hurts to have one in your card supply. This is a very gender neutral card so I could give it to anyone with a new bundle of fun. I also practiced my coloring with blender pens on the buggy.

I don't have any babyish DSP yet so I improvised with embossing folders and I think it turned out great. Just enough detail so it doesn't look boring.

Have a great Saturday everyone!!

Simple Happiness

It's Friday! It's Friday! It's Friday! After 3 days of Instructor Training I am so looking forward to getting back to my regular schedule and cards this weekend =)

This card is what I think I'm going to use for my Spring/Easter Cards. It's simple but looks cute. The sentiment is just one of the retired sets I can't bring myself to sell/get rid of.

I saw this card and knew I had to do it!

The Tooth Fairy Has Arrived

Once I saw this stamp, I HAD to have it, so I ordered it with my Starter Kit =)

My youngest has her first loose tooth! We've been putting The Boy's lost teeth in a plastic bag and putting it near his pillow when he looses a tooth. After getting this stamp, something definitely had to been done to make losing teeth cute. For The Boy I just cut two tags from my Cricut and put them together with Sticky Tape. For The Girl I busted out my Silhouette and cut an envelope out, embossed it and put it together with Sticky Tape. The Boy is no frills just plain and so that's what he got. The girl is the epitome of "girly" so I went all out with glitter and embossing. They both loved them! Now to make sure the Tooth Fairy doesn't go broke, I'm off to work, 3 days of training for public speaking =(

Whew! Monday is gone and so onward to Tuesday (my second dreadest day of the week). Here's a card for Victorine Originals blog challenge #6. The challenge was to make a card with White, Red and Pink....this was seriously easy this time of year! I had an arsenal of ideas to use for this one. Although it's Valentine-y, this could be for anytime really. You know I had to use pop dots on it =)

Chalkboard Love

So everywhere I look there are chalkboards everywhere, decor elements, piggy banks, signs so here's my take on it. Most of my cards this week are super simple. My cold (i.e- caughing fits at 2am) is still hanging around so you won't see too many layers, just simple easy cards =)

For this one I just cut out the card in basic black then cut out some rectangles in basic black again. I rubbed all four edges of rectangles in white ink to get that popped edge look. Inked up Love You stamp in white and it looks a little that a word I wonder? Anywho, I ordered my first ever Heat & Stick powder from SU! and I love it! So cool and it really makes the glitter stick a lot better.

There are so many things I've gotten since being a demo that I would have never tried otherwise. A discount changes everything =) Heat & Stick powder and pop dots are two things that are going to stay in my arsenal of stamping supplies!

Have a great Monday!

Coloring Can Be Fun

Happy Thursday! It's almost Friday and I can't wait, my head is swimming with ideas. So here's my card for today. When I got my demo kit there was a blender pen in it. I had never ever used a blender pen and it was very intimidating. I emailed Becky, my upline and asked what to do....she gave me some great tips and this is what I ended up with =) Had I paid attention to the stamp I would have painted the vase a different color, a little too much green for me with the leaves and all. All in all I think an ok job for my first try. I'm not too into coloring so don't count on a whole lot of post with my non-existence coloring skills =)

Pennant Birthday

Happy Friday!!!!!! It finally came, now to get through today and not get yelled at, now that's the real challenge.

Does anyone else buy a stamp set with a card in mind? I do, I've been wanting to do this card ever since I got this set. I love that you take the party hats, flip 'em upside down, cut 'em out and they look like a birthday banner! This was such a simple but fun card to make, I think it's now one of my all-time faves =)

Birthday Workshop

Now that I've had my Valentine's Class I'm moving on to another big day.....birthdays! Everyone has 'em and it's always cool to give a little something.

This class is $10 again and will include 2 cards and 3 treat holders. The blue holder in front I actually made myself, I templated it from a gift card holder and it holds 2 Ghiradelli chocolates. The red box is the 2-5-7-10 box on Splitcoast Stampers and then of course there's my favorite sour cream container.....I love this thing. I made 50 of them a few years back and it was so easy =)

Valentine Workshop...Mission Completed!

Ahh the joys of children. My youngest has infected her brother and myself with a horrible cold. All this started a week ago, she was sick for all of two days. Brother was worse and missed a day of school and for some reason I cannot shake this thing. A week now! This cold is seriously putting a damper on my crafting mojo, hence the reason last week so so sparse in posts.

I trudged on and I had my Valentine Workshop this past Saturday though! This time I had one guest, a coworker and I think she had a good time. She loved the heart punches so that's always a good thing! (BTW-punches are my new hoarding thing, don't tell the husband) I also got to show her that SU! has so much better quality of paper, she couldn't believe how thick it was. I love how high quality our stuff is =)

Now I'm planning for next month's class. I'm going to do a birthday theme so I'm thinking 2-3 cards, a Ghiradelli chocolate holder and another candy holder all for $10. Chocolate is a good thing =)

Alrighty today is the start of the week and I was again unable to find a crystal ball to find packages for customers, if you find one, seriously let me know.....I really need one!

Decorating for LOVE Day

I put the finishing touches on my small but cute Valentine decorations. They were the simplest easiest things to do. I haven't dug out all my other V-Day decorations from the garage yet but these do just great!

The first is our dining room table. This poor neglected candle holder has been sitting empty for 8 months. I finally picked up some super cheap candles and just tied ribbon around it. The "FAMILY" wood thingy sits perfect in the middle....that and I have no other place for it =)
This pic is of my blank wall. I have no idea what to do with's big, empty, but I don't want to put anything there. Eh, I'll figure it out when I win the lotto...then I'll have all the time in the world! For now it's my holiday space. This is where my Nutcrackers were for Christmas. Since we have a fireplace but no mantle I couldn't decorate a mantle with a banner (like every other normal house in America) so I hung it in my empty wall. Easy peasy, cut the pennant triangles, Cricut did the hard work of cutting the letters and I glued 'em all on.

My creme de la creme was finally figuring out how do that accordian fold!!!! It turned out just like I hoped =) I felt so cool after I finished!

Here's another one of my ideas swimming in my head. I saw this in a Teen Pottery Barn catalog last year. Well not this exactly but it was a bulletin board with LOVE in blocks. I thought I could do that with paper {lightbulb} I had some styrofoam that was collecting dust so I brought that out, made squares, covered the squares with paper and covered the edges with white ribbon and cut letters with my Cricut......cute!

I have THE most lucky husband. Why? Because he finds the greatest deals ever. This candle is in a hurricane jar. Normally $25 but he found them for $6! See great shopper 75% off =) So again I took the super cheap candles and wrapped them in ribbon and punched matching paper hearts and attached them.

And now my decorating is least for now. Happy Hump Day!

TGIF....Stamping here I come!

Seriously Friday could not have come sooner! This is one week that was horrendous, week. I won't begin to bore you with how many names I was called! (It's not very G-rated) Now on to the weekend and stamping and preparations! Oh oh oh AND hopefully I get my big order from "the other company" aka Mr. Brown so I can work on a workshop for February (birthdays).

So far I have a few people possibly interested in my Valentine Workshop on January 15th! Nothing definite but hey an interest is more than my 1st attempt at a Workshop so I am all smiles =)

So now on to my cutie box that I love! I got the template HERE on Splitcoast. And you guessed it...more pop dots! I adhered the hearts to the ribbon with pop dots. I love it because there is no lid, everything is one kinda thinking!

Have a great weekend everyone! I'm going to spend mine playing with new goodies =)

Flamingo Love

When I saw the new Occasions Mini and the Filled With Love set I pictured this card. The flamingos from Love Defined set and the "We're good together" words from the Filled With Love set.

When I put in my mini pre-order I didn't order Pink Pirouette ink. I have about 8 other brand pink inks, but not Pink Pirouette. This ensued a long discussion with my DH explaining why SU rocks because all the inks and paper match, he still didn't get why I couldn't just use "pink". He just nodded his head and said "yes dear" while secretly wondering why his wife is so OCD over "pink" ink =) So I had to improvise and I used some silver ink that kinda did the trick, although I NEED Pink Pirouette to have PINK flamingos.....oh and notice the pop dots again =)

Ok I'm done rambling....

Hugs & Kisses

I warned you I was using pop dots, how could I resist with all those open holes in "O's" =) I am having a big problem using this side of the Love Impressions DSP. It's big, so normally I'd use it if I was making a scrapbook page. Trying to find ideas when the design is so big is a challenge for me. I like the little designs a whole lot better...

Pop Dots: A Way of Life

To be honest, I ran out of pop dots years ago. Never bought them again and didn't think twice about it. When I got my Demo Starter Kit there were pop dots in it.....big mistake...BIG....HUGE! I swear I am using pop dots at every chance I get! I warn you, my next few post WILL have pop dots used. They are addictive and cool and waaaaay awesome.

This card could not be any simpler. It's a sketch from Paper Crafts magazine. I simply traced a piece of paper with a marker to create the red border. The pop dots make a simple card "POP" (haha get it..pop) It's the little things that make me smile =)

When Life Throws You Lemons....

....make a card! That's a new one huh?! During my little 4 day break at work during Christmas I had a card making binge. I've seen those folded medallions on so many places I thought, "I can make that and it will look so cute" yeah I didn't get it made because I didn't read the directions thoroughly. I've been known to do this a time or two so I wasn't surprised with myself =) So here's the cards I made:

I really like the texture the accordion fold gives the card, it's not an everyday technique you would see....sometimes my screw ups turn out good, other times not so much =) I also used the rub ons out of the Occasions Mini catalog. This was my first go-round with rub ons...not really my thing but they were free with my order so they work.

A Sea of Ideas

That's what my mind feels like most days.....a sea of ideas. When I had my car accident last January, I had so many ideas but couldn't do them for so many months. My mind whirled and swirled while Valentine's and Easter passed me by without one card sent out. (I usually sent one for each holiday...even St. Patrick's Day)

I felt like I neglected my poor blog that I had just started, let alone I got questioned by people who usually got birthday cards "what happened" "why didn't I get a card" Trust me I woulda sent you one had I not been in pain.....

So yesterday I sat and remembered some of my ideas that had been floating around and I actually made something without a pattern, template, tutorial or any h
elp from a blog I I mean follow =)

I've seen things like this to hold small hand sanitizers or packs of lip balms but not one that held just one lip balm. I couldn't find any tutorial that fit my needs so I made my own. My kiddos love flavored chapsticks, especially my girly girl. So, I made this for them for Valentine's Day this year. I made a green and yellow one for my little man, if I gave him something pink he might give me the evil eye...he's not too keen on pink =)
