Diamond Fold Card

Ok, normally I don't do special "fold" cards. Thanks to my new addiction to Pinterest, I keep seeing all kinds of cool folds that I want to try.

Have you check out Pinterest yet? You must check it out! Go, hurry.....it's awesome!

So I pryed my self from Pinterest long enough to do this card. It's called a Diamond Fold and you can see the tutorial HERE at Splitcoast Stampers.

I honestly couldn't make heads or tails from the written directions so I'm glad there was a video tutorial. Usually instructions are all I need, but I was so lost by step 3 I had to watch her make the card.

This card is so easy I'm thinking of making it my Christmas card. Not much to it, just folds, punches, and dies. If I find me some square envelopes I think I have a winner!

SSSC 136

So it's almost October and I have no clue what to do for my Christmas cards this year. Sad huh? When we moved down to SoCal 3 years ago, Christmas cards were done, addressed and ready to go minus pictures in them. I was so ahead of the game then!

I used the sketch from Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #136 for this one.

CP Pumpkins

This pumpkin stamp from the Button Buddies set reminds me of Cinderella. I think it's the whole curly vine thing going on on it. Who know, but it sure is cute!

I made this simple one from Card Patterns sketch 134. And yes, I know I'm supposed to put buttons on the pumpkin part, however I'm outta orange buttons =( It looks cute no matter what, thanks to the curly Q's.

Red & White

Monday is upon us again. But this Monday means only 7 work days and I'm on vacation! Yippee!!!

My latest card is courtesy of the sketch over at Clean & Simple
#159

I used my bouquet blossoms triple layer punch. I used #1 in red to give me the base and #3 in white to give me the punched out flower. Put a dimensional in between the two to give it some depth and added a rhinestone for bling. As my kids would say "easy peasy lemon squeezy".

This card is going straight to work today, it's the boss' birthday and I hope she likes it. Even though she said I was never allowed to do the running man at work again, she still gets a card =)

Wanna play too? Here's the sketch:

Ingredients:
{Paper} SU! Real Red, Whisper White, Play Date DSP (retired)

Flowers for SSSC 135

Here's a color combo I love but rarely use. I think its just a little bright for most things...

For the 2 flowers stamped in Pumpkin Pie, I inked the image and stamped lightly on a scrap piece of paper then stamped on my cardstock. This way the middle image stood out but wasn't alone.

I used the sketch from Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #135

{Paper} SU! Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Brights DSP
{Stamp} SU! Button Buddies
{Ink} SU! Rose Red Pumpkin Pie

Cute Monster CP Sketch 133

Ok, so the picture isn't the best but you get the idea, right? =)

I brought out the trusty Cricut for this card. I have discovered I do not have an abundance of Halloween stamp sets, or large stamps for that matter. So meet Henry. That's his name, well technically according to the Cricut his name is Icky, but I prefer Henry.

You can find the sketch at Card Patterns Sketch 133

Ok I'm off for another week of "Where's My Package?" a.k.a. work =)

Ingredients:
{Paper} SU! Rich Razzelberry, Lucky Limeaide, Basic Black, Basic Gray; DCWV glitter stack
