Yay! A finished challenge on the day it came out...better write that one down for the history books =) This one is from The Sweetest Thing blog with Karen Giron. Today's sketch was super easy so I thought I'd bring out an old SU! stamp set and use for this one. Enjoy!

Amazing Friend

Just wanted to share an amazing card I got a while back. When I got my new job one of my dearest friends in the world sent me a congratulations card. Kristin is the one who kinda got me into making cards. She made her own Christmas cards one year and I said "how cool, I wanna do that" and so here we are years and lots of paper later. Last Christmas her cards were sewn with beads, it was a Christmas tree with bead ornaments....so cool! This one has my favorite, a dragonfly, flying make entirely with beads and thread. She is so amazing and crafty!

Your Sweet Cupcake

So here's one of those cards that I had to play with until I liked it. I wanted to use the cupcake cardstock, that was a must. But trying to get the other colors and cardstock was a hassle. Long story short I think it ended up turning out cute. I love the glitter on the cupcake. You can't tell from the pic but the cupcake pattern is glittered as well.

Happy Grandparents Day

Happy Grandparents Day!

We happen to have made some great friends and they are amazing grandparents for the kids, they love them unconditionally and spoil them rotten when they see them =) Here's the card I send out to them all. I think it turned out so cute. I used a downloaded font because I have zero grandparent day stamps =( I forgot to take a picture at home so I remembered when I got to work (hence the fence in the background).

Ingredients:

Paper: DCWV Flower Shower stack

Springy Wish

Aren't these colors so soothing? I feel so calm when I look at them. My hardest part of making cards is putting color combinations together and making sure the colors/patterns look good together. I've been picking up DCWV small scrap stacks and they've been really helping me put my colors together because they've taken all the guess work out of it for me. They have patterned paper and solid colors so I love it!

BOO!

I've said it before but I LOVE THIS SET! The monsters are just sooooo cute and scream to be used. Now, I wish I had the ability to use Copic markers but I don't so I settle for color pencils & markers. Usually they don't turn out too well colored but this guy is different. He looks like my 5 year old colored him so it's pretty cute =)

Scary (Small) Skull

This one didn't quite turn out the way I was expecting it to. I think I needed a bigger skull, the dots needed to be poking up....just not a super great card but I do like the Trick or Treat sentiment stamp =) It's the only thing that came out right. Next on my list of stamps to get is a bigger skull, I don't think you an ever get too big of a skull LOL

Frilly Thank You

Do you ever notice those $1 dump bins of stamps at JoAnns or Michaels? Of course you do! How can you resist filling your hands with stamps for only a buck?! I love these things because I feel like I'm getting such a deal. This Thank You stamp is one of my buck finds.

Trick or Treat Smell My Feet

September is here and you know what that means.....HALLOWEEN!!!! I love this time of year, I love Halloween and I'd like to say I love Fall but here in Southern California there's only one season, hot! =( Here's the second Halloween card of the season for me. I love this stamp from Recollections, it reminds me of when I was a kid and the whole "Trick or Treat smell my feet" thing.
