This card perplexed me. Ever had that happen to you? I just kept looking at it and looking at it. I know I didn't add the embellishment flower-button thingy, but I just couldn't. Nothing I put there looked right so I just let it be.
Card Patterns #137 was my guide for this card. I do like how the border punch, which I think is supposed to be like notebook paper, looks like a fence =)Kinda plain, but sometimes I like plain.....Happy Wednesday!Ingredients:
{Paper} SU! Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Ice Cream Parlor DSP (retired)
{Ink} SU! Peach Parfait, Old Olive
{Stamp} SU! Got Treats
{Extras} EK Success border punch, corner rounder punch, dimensionals
I'm ahead of myself! I used this weeks sketch at Clean & Simple #162 for my anniversary card to my Hunny. Our anniversary isn't until November but I'm always late making a card. Late as in that morning scrambling to put a card together. I know, horrible for a person who makes cards huh?!

I've been having fun playing around with my new texture plates. They do take some getting used to because every machine is different, but they are a fun tool that can make a big difference!
I paper pieced the balloons and used SU! dimensionals for more of floating effect.
Have a great Tuesday!
Ingredients: {Paper}SU! Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze Whisper White, Nursery Suite DSP (retired)
{Ink} SU! So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede
{Stamp} SU! Tiny Tags, Up, Up & Awayy
{Extras} SU! Jewelry Punch, Harlequin texture plate, dimensionals
I've been trying to use my dies that I have lately. They look pretty on my shelf but they make even prettier things =)
I played along with Inspirations Challenge #91 for my card this time. I sponged just the tips of the More Mustard petals with Early Espresso ink to make them pop a little. I also ran the Very Vanilla cardstock on top through the Pattern 1 texture plate for some added oomph. You can't really tell in the picture but the Pool Party strip was run through the crimper a number of times to give it a really worn down look.
Alrighty, it's Monday and my first day back.....cross your fingers I survive!Ingredients:

{Ink} SU! Early Espresso, White craft
{Stamp} SU! Tiny Tags
{Extras} SU! Jewelry Punch, Pattern 1 texture plate, Daisies #2 die, crimper, Early Espresso baker's twine
Since test tubes are the latest rage I sent the hubby out in search of them last weekend. He did not disappoint and brought me back 3 packs of 'em! I had heard rumors on Pinterest of Martha Stewart having new test tubes out. The rumors are fact people! And I got the last 3 packs our Michaels had!And just when I thought I was going to have to make my own tutorial for a test tube holder, low and behold the magicians at Splitcoast already had one! You can go HERE and get the deets (details) on making your own.ENJOY and have a great Saturday!
Ingredients:
{Paper} SU! Baja Breeze; Me & My Big Ideas Specialty Paper

Ok, normally I don't do special "fold" cards. Thanks to my new addiction to Pinterest, I keep seeing all kinds of cool folds that I want to try.
Have you check out Pinterest yet? You must check it out! Go, hurry.....it's awesome!
So I pryed my self from Pinterest long enough to do this card. It's called a Diamond Fold and you can see the tutorial HERE at Splitcoast Stampers.
I honestly couldn't make heads or tails from the written directions so I'm glad there was a video tutorial. Usually instructions are all I need, but I was so lost by step 3 I had to watch her make the card.
This card is so easy I'm thinking of making it my Christmas card. Not much to it, just folds, punches, and dies. If I find me some square envelopes I think I have a winner!

{Paper} SU! Baja Blue, Lucky Limeaid; Me & My Big Ideas Specialty Paper
{Ink} SU! Lucky Limeaid
{Stamp} SU! Delightful Decorations
{Extras} SU! Ornament punch, white bakers twine; Spellbinders Labels 1 dies
So it's almost October and I have no clue what to do for my Christmas cards this year. Sad huh? When we moved down to SoCal 3 years ago, Christmas cards were done, addressed and ready to go minus pictures in them. I was so ahead of the game then! I used the sketch from Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #136 for this one.
