New Color Combo

In the spirit of playing along with new challenges, I'm playing along with the Paper Players colour challenge and Card Patterns for this card.

I've been following Ann Schach for eons now and always see her card for the new challenge. The color combo this week was AMAZING! I would have never thought to use Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight together. I'm almost sad that Poppy Parade is retiring because I finally found some use for it!

Wishing Elephant

Do you ever "have" to have a stamp set or paper and then once you get them you don't use them? Am I the only one? I just "had" to have this paper and stamp set when they came out last June. Honestly I have barely used them and mostly because I hate to color. Its just not my thing. Too time consuming and I never make it look good.

The sketch is courtesy of Card Patterns #161 and it was pretty fun! I just kept adding things until I was happy with the look of it. I love the bright colors but my elephant still looks kinda funky. But for someone who hates to color I think it looks okey dokey.

Don't forget the Summer Smooches promotion going on now until the end of April. Click HERE for more info!

Deck the Halls

A quick card today, it was super easy thanks to punches and circle cutters.

I used the CardPatterns 140 sketch and turned it on it's side. The card started out like the sketch but something about the balance of everything just looked cooky so I turned it.

I was so proud of my wreath! I keep looking at all kinds of punch art on Pinterest but honestly I don't want to spend the time to punch, cut, and adhere little pieces of a punched piece. Lazy, yes. Now this wreath was super easy! Scalloped circle punch and 3/4" circle punch and ta-da....easy wreath =)

Ingredients: All items SU!
{Paper} Early Espresso, Old Olive, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Letters to Santa DSP
{Ink} Riding Hood Red
{Stamp} Merry & Type
{Extras} 1 3/4" scallop circle punch, 3/4" circle punch, flower from Itty Bitty punch pack, scalloped edge punch, circle cutter, dazzling details

Card Pattern #137

This card perplexed me. Ever had that happen to you? I just kept looking at it and looking at it. I know I didn't add the embellishment flower-button thingy, but I just couldn't. Nothing I put there looked right so I just let it be.

Card Patterns #137 was my guide for this card. I do like how the border punch, which I think is supposed to be like notebook paper, looks like a fence =)

Kinda plain, but sometimes I like plain.....Happy Wednesday!

Ingredients:
{Paper} SU! Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Ice Cream Parlor DSP (retired)

{Ink} SU! Peach Parfait, Old Olive

{Stamp} SU! Got Treats
{Extras} EK Success border punch, corner rounder punch, dimensionals

CP Pumpkins

This pumpkin stamp from the Button Buddies set reminds me of Cinderella. I think it's the whole curly vine thing going on on it. Who know, but it sure is cute!

I made this simple one from Card Patterns sketch 134. And yes, I know I'm supposed to put buttons on the pumpkin part, however I'm outta orange buttons =( It looks cute no matter what, thanks to the curly Q's.

{Paper} SU! Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Old Olive, Play Date DSP (retired
{Ink} SU! Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive
{Stamp} SU! Button Buddies

Cute Monster CP Sketch 133

Ok, so the picture isn't the best but you get the idea, right? =)

I brought out the trusty Cricut for this card. I have discovered I do not have an abundance of Halloween stamp sets, or large stamps for that matter. So meet Henry. That's his name, well technically according to the Cricut his name is Icky, but I prefer Henry.

You can find the sketch at Card Patterns Sketch 133

Ok I'm off for another week of "Where's My Package?" a.k.a. work =)
