The sketch for todays card is from A La Card Monkey #107 challenge. But, the colors are courtesy of Wal-Mart. I was wandering in the summer stuff and came across a color palette of Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie and Lucky Limeade. Yeah I know, weird....

Here I am a day after oogling over the preview of goodies to come in the new catalog! I got to see some pretty cute stuff, but I know that there's more to come. A perk of being a demo is seeing all the new stuff a month ahead of time!

Hello Snails

Very quick post today. Woke up with a migraine and that is no bueno. I feel as slow as a snail today so this card is a good fit for me and for A La Card Monkey #103 challenge.

I am a very simple person. No frills, just plain and simple. Hence the reason I can usually manage to squeeze in a Clean & Simple challenge because I don't have to think too much.

I normally do a ton of birthday cards because I don't really have any other type of card to send. I thought this might be a good one to have in my stash just in case. I used dazzling diamonds on the butterfly to give it a little oomph in the bling department.

Clean Butterflies

It's a very rainy day here in SoCal but I have gotten a ton of stuff done! Cut and organized my coupons, got listings ready for eBay tonight (stamps & dies), laundry done and got some cards made....very productive.

Today's card is for Clean & Simple #182 and was super fun to make. I've seen so many people run their entire card through the Big Shot using the lattice embossing folder for a cool look so I figured it was time to try this and I love the results. The only thing I would change is the adhesive I used. I only used a mini glue dot in the middle of the flower. Doing it again, I would make sure I adhered the entire flower to the card stock so I wouldn't come up.




I spritzed the entire going thing with Vanilla Shimmer smooch spritz which looks better in person. Added a couple embossed butterflies and voila!

Sketchy Hearts

There's a plus and minus to having sick kids. The minus are 2 grumpy sick kids who are whiny, the plus is we stay home the entire weekend and mom gets crafty when they finally conk out for a much needed nap.

With Valentine's Day just around the corner I really haven't made a whole lot of cards like last year. I figure I only need one for my one Valentine =)

I used the sketch over at Eat, Sleep, Stamp with Tracy and I went through 3 different cards before I finished this one. I'd start a card and then scrap it midway through because it was so horrible. Am I the only one who does this?

I sponged the embossing to give it a distressed look and made the details pop a little. I also used dimensionals on the hearts to bring them front & center instead of just blending into the background. And really, what is a card without bakers twine?

A box...A Box!

I'm back to crafting after a few weeks of emerging myself in The Hunger Games trilogy. Great books by the way, if you get the chance you should read them. Now I can't wait for the movies!

For today's card I used the Mojo Monday #224 sketch. But.....I made the box myself! Yes, I probably could have found a tutorial on it somewhere but I am so much prouder that I made it and figured out the dimensions myself =)



The box holds a candle from Bath & Body Works. I figure it is a cute teacher gift or birthday gift for someone.

Spring Birdies

I thought I'd play along with a challenge that gave me my first challenge win....Victorine Originals challenge #25. It was such a cute sketch and I knew exactly what I wanted to do.



I've never really done a lot of "2 step stampin" but this was kinda fun. Layering the birds, then cages, let me tell you my Stamp-a-ma-jig got a lot of work but I'm really glad I finally broke down and got this set!

One more day and I have myself a 4 day weekend! Taking Friday off because the boy is getting an award at school.....a very big deal and rare occasion around here, can't wait =)

Pretty Birthday

I am simply in love with this new Everyday Enchantment DSP for Sale-a-bration. The colors are so gorgeous and they are all the In Colors that I normally don't use. The sketch is from East Sleep Stamp #155 and the colors are from ColourQ #118






I'm off to attempt cleaning the kids rooms, oh how I hope I survive!
