Sketchy Hearts

There's a plus and minus to having sick kids. The minus are 2 grumpy sick kids who are whiny, the plus is we stay home the entire weekend and mom gets crafty when they finally conk out for a much needed nap.

With Valentine's Day just around the corner I really haven't made a whole lot of cards like last year. I figure I only need one for my one Valentine =)

I used the sketch over at Eat, Sleep, Stamp with Tracy and I went through 3 different cards before I finished this one. I'd start a card and then scrap it midway through because it was so horrible. Am I the only one who does this?

I sponged the embossing to give it a distressed look and made the details pop a little. I also used dimensionals on the hearts to bring them front & center instead of just blending into the background. And really, what is a card without bakers twine?

Hope everyone has a happy Tuesday!

All items SU!
{Paper} Whisper White, Real Red, Basic Black {Ink} Versamark, Craft Whisper White {Stamp} Filled With Love (retired) {Extras} red glitter, Cherry Cobbler bakers twine, jewelry tag punch, full heart punch, Perfect Details texture plate

  1. No you are not the only one that does this!! Trust me. =) I do it more often than I like to admit. *grin* But how can you get upset when you have a result like this? This came out FANTASTIC Jennifer. What's not to love? Everything about this is sheer perfection! Great job. Thank you for playing along with Sketchy Thursday!
    Hugs,
