Embossed Butterfly

A very quick post as I run out the door this morning. I used the A La Card Monkey sketch #90 for today's card.

I've been trying to use more of my tools in the craft room so my Big Kick (yes, I know I need to upgrade to a Big Shot) has been getting a lot of use. I've finally mastered getting a deep emboss from the texture plates by adding shims, I had all about given up using them because they just didn't give a great look. So I embossed the top strip and the butterfly to make them kinda pop out on the card. Also added some pearls because butterflies need pearls =)

Happy Tuesday!

  1. Great card! I had the same problem with the Texture plates I spray my card stock with a mixture of alcohol and water and then run it through it really enhances the impressions without shims. Following you!
