A La Card Monkey #100 Challenge

What better to celebrate the A La Card Monkey's 100th challenge than by showcasing some new paper and stamp set!

The paper is SU! DSP called Summer Smooches. It will be available for order April 1-April 30. This is a new suite that will be available in the 2012-2013 catalog. The colors are very bright and fun, makes me almost like summer...almost. I paired the paper with a new stamp set out of the same suite called Bright Blossoms. Very fun tiny sets that are very versatile.

I stamped the vase and then cut it out. Instead of using the flowers with the stamp, I used a flower out of the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and added a basic pearl for a little pop. Just to finish the edges I used the mat pack to pierce the corners.

Ingredients: All items SU!
{Paper} Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry, Summer Smooches DSP {Ink} Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Craft White {Stamp} Bright Blossoms {Extras} 2" scallop circle punch, 1 1/2"circle, 1 5/8", Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Jewelry Tag punch, Whisper White grosgrain ribbon, Whisper White bakers twine, Basic Pearls, Mat Pack & Paper Piercer

Don't forget Sale-a-bration is still going on but only until March 31st! You get FREE stuff for every $50 you order......FREE is good!

Mickey-rific Birthday surprise

My co-worker/fellow crafting enabler has a birthday next week. Conveniently she is taking off next week for vacation. I couldn't let her day go by without making something I knew she would love.

I took to Pinterest and found THIS idea for the pouch and THIS idea for the card. She is a big Disney fan so I hoped they would be a hit.

She absolutely LOVED everything! I love seeing the awesome expressions on peoples faces when I make things.

I'm going to enjoy the nice soggy weather we are expecting this weekend by organizing and crafting. I've got a class planned tomorrow so gotta get cutting. Happy Saturday!

Monkey #98 Flower

Yay it's Thursday! Not as good as Friday but I'll take it =)

For this card I played along at A La Card Monkey for the 98th challenge! I kept it very simple on this one, well simpler than normal. I was in a daisy making mood so I pulled out the Daisy #2 die and two of my favorite In Colors and cut away! I embossed the strip of Calypso Coral so it wasn't so blah and added some random flower eyelets.

Ingredients: All items SU!
{Paper} Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Pool Party {Ink} Calypso Coral {Stamp} Small Script (retired) {Extras} Daisy #2 die, random flower eyelets, Pattern #1 texture plate

Heart of Many Ribbons

Another day, another Pinterest CASE. This time from Karen Werner. I used up some pieces of scrap ribbon in this one. Very simple and easy. I used foam tape to pop up the layer on the card and also inked the edges to give it some depth.

It didn't dawn on me until today that I hadn't mentioned anything about SALE-A-BRATION yet!

From now until March 31st for every $50 you spend on Stampin' UP! products you get a free item out of the Sale-a-bration catalog. It's a very good time to stock up on goodies and get free stuff at the same time!

Using the Stash

Fact: I have a lot of scrapbook paper stacks. Reason: I got them really cheap.

So today I actually completed one of my pins on Pinterest! Yes, it can be done. It's difficult to walk away from all the pins, but it can be done!

You can see in the before picture, you can see everything....yes everything. Very messy! In the after shot, it's all hidden! In my world I may not be completely organized but I know where everything is. If I can hide it, it makes it even better =)
