SSSC 149

Happy New Year! Yeah I know, a few days late but worth a shot huh? =)

For todays card I played along with the Sweet Sunday Sketch #149. A gal I have known since I've been 3 years old is having her first baby soon, a little boy. So to get ahead of myself I made this card for her and her new little man....

I stamped the horse in Soft Suede in the big circle. On a scrap paper I stamped the image, colored it in using blender pens, cut it out and popped it on top of the first image. It looks better in person, trust me....

Alrighty that's it for me today. My posts will get more regular again as work calms down =)

{Ink} (Markers) Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Basic Gray, Baja Breeze

Back in the Swing of Things

Wow...I'm back, I hope. After nearly 2 weeks of a migraine it's subsided....I think/hope! So I thought I'd do a nice easy card, something I didn't have to think about too much =) I played along with CardPatterns for the sketch and Off the Wall Craftiness for the colors.

See, nice and simple =)

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Rubber Buggy Baby Bumpers

...now say that 3 times fast! Haha don't know where that came from but HAPPY SATURDAY! Today I plan to clean up the yard and then make some fantabulous cards =)

Not that I know anyone having a little one but it never hurts to have one in your card supply. This is a very gender neutral card so I could give it to anyone with a new bundle of fun. I also practiced my coloring with blender pens on the buggy.

I don't have any babyish DSP yet so I improvised with embossing folders and I think it turned out great. Just enough detail so it doesn't look boring.

Have a great Saturday everyone!!

C-ya!

It's a G Thang

Ah here we are beginning the last week in January....can you believe it?! What other way to start the week than with an awesome Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge #53. I really liked this week's sketch and I really liked the way my card came out. I'm a super huge giraffe fan (I will one day own a giraffe named Marty) so when I came across this stamp set "Mindy's Zoo" by Autumn Leaves I was in seventh heaven! Until now I really hadn't used the giraffe stamps but this weeks sketch made it super easy to do. Here's my rendition:

Ingredients:
Paper: DCWV mat stack Animal Crackers, The Paper Company
Stamps: "Mindy's Zoo" by Autumn Leaves
Cuttlebug, Martha Stewart circle cutter

I thought I'd share my very first card I ever made. Don't laugh, it was an attempt. This was in February of 2004 for the birth of my son. It was his birth announcement and at the time I thought I did such a good job. When he was born I colored the stroller blue since we didn't find out his gender during pregnancy. Looking back now I've come so far using color and layers and embellishments! What a difference 6 years makes!
